Miami Herald reported that Florida ranks third nationwide in human trafficking cases, and Miami-Dade County is the biggest trafficking hub in the state, according to a report by the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, which estimates that the average sex trafficking victim may be forced to have sex 20 times a day, seven days a week. Sad fact.

Spark her change organization is a group of women and men who have taken on the challenge to help women feel empowered by planting seeds of love in the hearts. How? They work with partners, organizations and individuals who donate items to help victims with self-care. From journals to shampoo, each products is intentionally packaged to help these women feel human again. Their traffickers do not care how they feel. When the women receive that famous 'pink bag', they feel hope, love and that someone knows and cares about them. The impact is remarkable. Women develop courage to ask for help, plan an escape from the violence, abuse and poverty they are kept in and get out of their situation for good!

If you would like to donate, go to their website to learn more.

These photos are very few of the many that I took last year at their yearly award event. These group of women are full of life, energy and spirit! Love!
